Day 1 – Departing from Changi Airport to Hanoi Vietnam

Day 1 – Our first Lunch cum Dinner at Hai San Seafood
- The Grilled Squid: Perfectly charred, tender, and glistening with a sweet-savory glaze.
- The Garlic Greens: Vibrant water spinach, flash-fried and fragrant.
- The Plump Prawns: Stacked high, waiting to be peeled and dipped in chili-lime salt.
- The Crispy Tofu: Golden cubes topped with fresh scallions.

Day 1 – Explore Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Vietnam
Officially known as the Thê Húc Bridge (Morning Sunlight Bridge), this striking, vermillion-red wooden footbridge spans the calm, emerald waters of Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi, Vietnam. Built in 1865, it is a celebrated symbol of the city, gracefully connecting the eastern shore to Jade Island and the historic Ngoc Son Temple.

Day 1 – Attending our first local show – Thang Long Water Puppet Theater Entrance
The Performance: Master puppeteers stand in waist-deep water behind a screen, using bamboo rods and strings to maneuver handcrafted wooden puppets across a liquid stage.
Show Content: Features a series of short vignettes portraying rural life, Vietnamese folklore, agricultural harvests, and mythical tales (like fire-breathing dragons).
Live Music: Show was accompanied by a live traditional Vietnamese orchestra, playing instruments like flutes and monochords, alongside traditional singing.
Location: Situated in the bustling Old Quarter directly beside the iconic Hoan Kiem Lake.

Day 2 – Morning breakfast at Cafe Giang – Having our first unique Egg Coffee
It features a rich, custard-like foam made of whisked egg yolks, condensed milk, and secret ingredients atop strong Vietnamese coffee.

Day 2 – Must try the famous Vietnamese ice Cream from Kem Trang Tien – Love the coconut flavour

Day 2 – Dinner at Vietnamese Lantern Restaurant, Old Quarters, Hanoi Vietnam

Day 3 – On Cruise ship to Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay

Day 3 – Having our late hot plate dinner along Hanoi street, sitting on small plastic chairs and tables

Day 4 – Dong Xuan Market – selling textiles, clothes, bags and many local products at local price

Day 4 – Our Lunch at a local food stall serving a dish known as Bún đậu mắm tôm
- This dish is known as Bún đậu mắm tôm, a popular Vietnamese street food hailing from Hanoi.
- It typically features a platter of rice vermicelli noodles, crispy fried tofu, boiled pork, and fresh herbs.
- The centerpiece is a strong-smelling fermented shrimp paste dipping sauce (mắm tôm).
- It is traditionally served on a bamboo tray lined with banana leaves.

Day 4 – Inside Hidden Gem Cafe, Hanoi Vietnam
Hidden Gem Cafe Hanoi is an eco-friendly, multi-story coffee shop in the Old Quarter, famous for its creative decor made entirely from recycled materials and upcycled vehicle parts. Tucked away in a narrow alley, it offers a peaceful, quirky escape from the bustling streets and serves excellent local coffee.

Day 4 – Watched the 4.10pm train passing by at Train Street South Entrance, sipping 40,000 dong fresh coconut juice

Day 5 – Having breakfast at 6.30am – Manevi Premier Hotel, before leaving for Hanoi Aiport

Day 5 – At Hanoi Airport, waiting for flight to Singapore
